Luka Železnik

Luka is one of the most talented people I've had the privilege of working with. Not only is he very knowledgeable, he always shows high initiative and proactively discovers and solves problems. He is super fun to work with and will always meaningfully challenge your ideas and provides great feedback. Despite only having worked with him for a (relatively) short time, I learned a lot from Luka and am very grateful for all the super interesting discussions we had.

Few people have the opportunity to work with such committed and passionated individual, but I do while working together in Bitpanda. I hired Luka in February 2022 and since then I am impressed by the energy he brought in the team, suggesting process improvements, automating manual work and even tackling in very first month challenging tasks. Luka's ability to juggle multiple projects was unlike any I’ve seen before and made a drastic difference in the productivity level of our team. I have had the pleasure to work closely with Luka for seven months, during which he was a member of my team at voestalpine High Performance Metals DIGITAL SOLUTIONS. Luka is not only an experienced senior software engineer but also an aspiring DevOps engineer. He has made a big impact by working in a highly goal-oriented, structured, and focussed way. His strong technical expertise is beyond debate. In his short time, not only did we together develop and deliver data-driven products to customers, but Luka did also lay the DevOps foundations for my and for other teams while managing the involved stakeholders at a high level of satisfaction. Luka's ambitions were always rewarded with excellent customer feedback. In my opinion, Luka stands out by his eagerness to learn new things, his willingness to share his knowledge with others, and a humorous approach to things. When Luka joined our team, he was immediately eager to learn and contribute. His pragmatic attitude allowed him to work successfully in many projects. Luka is a very enthusiastic person and has a lot of energy to finish assignments and at the same time is driven to improve and document processes. Volunteering for our on call team, he found ways of automating tasks which proved very helpful. As was mentioned by others he helped train new joiners and get them up to speed quickly. I am glad that we were part of Luka's journey and wish him all the best.

I had the pleasure of working closely with Luka when introducing a new testing process to the team in Vienna. Luka showed great enthusiasm in helping us define the process and drive it forward within the team. He not only spent a lot of time with me to help come up with the changes we wanted to make, but also took it upon himself to help train the new testers and help make sure they had everything they needed to do their job well. Luka is a great developer, skilled leader and an incredibly hard working and passionate team player who I would love to work together with again in the future!
